Aqua~Cam: Universal AquaticSports Camcorder Housing
Prices: (US: factory-direct) $359 Basic, $459 Mechanical, and $659 Electronic

Aquatix International introduces the new Aqua~Cam product line for the new millennium. The new Aqua~Cam boasts the same great features and prices as its predecessor (the AquatiCam) plus some additional new features which include closed-cell foam grips on the handles, optional fingertip electronic controls (accessible from handle), and added camcorder shock-mounting.

The Aqua~Cam is a rugged, expedition-grade camcorder housing that provides the ability to shoot extreme sports' videos in extreme aquatic environments - from the deep pressures of scuba diving to the pounding hydraulic forces of whitewater kayaking! The key features of the Aqua~Cam™ include universal camcorder acceptance for all formats, extra-rugged construction, state-of-the-art mechanical and electronic controls (optional), a depth rating to 200 feet, kayak/watercraft mounting capability, and affordable pricing through efficient design and manufacturing.

The Aqua~Cam accepts virtually any small 8mm, Hi8, VHS-C, and Digital camcorder up to 4.6+ inches high, 4.8 inches wide, and 11 inches long. Custom housings are now available for slightly larger camcorders. Control options include: a full-function Electronic control system for all camcorders equipped with a LANC (Control-L) jack; a universal, user-adjustable Mechanical control that works the record start/stop button on any camcorder; or No controls for basic watertight video capability.

Standard features of the Aqua~Cam include a Single-Seal (x-ring) design with no hardware penetrations through the shell, visual seal inspection/verification, video monitor acceptance at the rear port, a velcro ballast holder that uses a standard 6-8 lb dive weight, adjustable foam-grip handles, security locks on all latches, front and rear flat ports with guards, and a one-year limited warranty. Prices start at $359 for a Basic housing with no controls, $459 for a Mechanical housing, and $659 for an Electronic housing. For more information, contact Aquatix International at sales@aquatix.com or visit www.aquatix.com.

Product: AquaCam EX - Underwater Video Housings
Prices: $359 Basic AquaCam EX, $459 Mechanical AquaCam EX, $659 Electronic AquaCam EX (USD: Factory-Direct)

Aquatix International introduces the AquaCam EX "Expedition" series of universal underwater video housings for camcorders. New features for the AquaCam EX include a pressure-regulated quad-ring seal that increases sealing pressure with depth, a removable electronic controller that can be disconnected from the housing and used as an independent remote camera control, and low-profile snag-resistant latches. Other improvements include larger foam-grip handles, fingertip-accessible electronic controls, and camcorder shock-mounting.

The AquaCam EX is a rugged, expedition-grade video housing for scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and other water sports. It is depth-rated to 200 feet and universally accepts most Digital, Hi8, 8mm, and VHS-C camcorders. Control options include a full-function electronic control system for all camcorders equipped with a LANC jack, a universal mechanical control system that manipulates the record start/stop button on most camcorders, or no controls for basic watertight video capability -- ideal for those who prefer the simplicity of shooting lots of video and editing later.

Other standard features of the AquaCam EX include a single quad-ring seal design with no hardware penetrations through the shell, visual seal inspection/verification, video monitor acceptance at the rear port, a velcro ballast holder that accepts standard dive weights, adjustable foam-grip handles, security locks on all latches, front and rear flat ports with guards, and a one-year warranty. Factory-direct prices start at $359 for a Basic AquaCam EX with no controls, $459 for a Mechanical AquaCam EX, and $659 for an Electronic AquaCam EX.
