Company
In
January of 1999, Aquatix International acquired
Recreational Equipment Company (REC Industries), a
designer and manufacturer of underwater video housings
sold under the Seaturtle brand since 1993. Under
Aquatix, the AquatiCam product line was introduced,
which has evolved into the Aqua~Cam, AquaCam EX, and
current AquaCam HDX Series video housings. Aquatix is
solely devoted to developing and manufacturing
competitively-priced underwater video housings for
scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and other
watersports. Our engineering and production group has
a background in Aerospace Engineering and over 18
years of experience designing, developing and
manufacturing underwater video housings for
camcorders.
Our
customer
base
includes independent filmmakers for PBS and the
Discovery Channel, CBS News, NASA, the U.S. Geological
Survey, Department of Natural Resources, marine
conservationists, universities, researchers, Dive
Masters, and many recreational divers and paddlers
around the world!

AquaCam HDX is a universal video housing for scuba
