Company
In
January of 1999, Aquatix International acquired
Recreational Equipment Company (REC Industries), a
designer and manufacturer of underwater video housings
since 1993. Aquatix is solely devoted to designing and
manufacturing underwater video housings for scuba
diving, snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing, and other
adventure watersports. Our engineering and design
group has a background in Aerospace Engineering and
nearly fifteen years of experience designing and
developing underwater camcorder / video housings.
Our
customer
base
includes independent film makers for PBS and the
Discovery Channel, CBS News, NASA, the U.S. Geological
Survey, Department of Natural Resources, marine
conservationists, universities, Dive Masters, and many
recreational divers and paddlers around the world! We
are active in scuba diving, whitewater paddling,
videography, photography, and exploring the outdoors,
and we use our products just like our
customers.
